Eden Sessions: Worth the Drive from Rock

Not everything worth doing from TREALLEN ROCK is on the doorstep — and Eden Sessions is a good example. Held every summer at the Eden Project near St Austell, it's about an hour's drive from Rock, but it's a genuinely special evening if the right act is playing.

What Makes It Different

Eden Sessions has been running since 2002, with the tropical biomes as a backdrop — genuinely one of the more distinctive concert settings in the country. Past years have brought Elton John, Amy Winehouse, Muse and Björk; 2026's run included Bastille, Snow Patrol, Pixies, Ben Howard and Mika, across a handful of dates through June and July.

Is It Worth the Drive?

Honestly — it depends on who's playing. This isn't a casual add-on to a day out the way Padstow or the Camel Trail are; it's an hour each way, and shows run into the evening, so it's worth treating as its own night out rather than squeezing in around something else. If there's an act on the bill you'd genuinely travel for, it's a memorable setting to see them. If not, we wouldn't go out of your way.

Planning Ahead

The full line-up is usually announced in stages over the winter and spring, with tickets going on sale well before the summer dates themselves — popular acts sell out, so it's worth checking the Eden Project's own site once you know your stay dates. Entry to the wider site is included with a Sessions ticket, so it's worth arriving a little earlier to look around the biomes and grab dinner before the show.
